Play to WIN
By
I had a conversation with an old friend from elementary school the other night, and we were chatting back and forth about what has happened in our lives since we last spoke. He was doing great… He has his own business, he’s got some real estate investments. I was pretty excited. It’s nice to reconnect with someone who’s got that entrepreneurial spirit.
Throughout the conversation we spoke about the mindset of the Maritime people (and the rest of Canada for that matter), and we agreed that so many people just have a sense of entitlement. As though the world (or government) owes them something. I’ve spoken with so many people who really do believe that they can just coast through life and by the time they retire, they will have a fat government pension to live on. We agreed that people are placing too much trust in our government, and personally, I just don’t think that our Healthcare and Canada Pension Plan program will be around by the time I retire. Definitely not the same as it is today.
I think that it has more to do with fear though. People rarely play to win, they are playing not to loose.
There’s a big difference between the two. I’m a big sports fan, and growing up I was heavily into competitive sports. I will tell you first hand that when you play not to loose…. YOU LOOSE. It’s simple. If you aren’t being aggresive and scoring goals… If you are spending your time in your own endzone… If you are tentative. You will loose the game. The game of life is no different.
Have you ever asked your grandparents (or even your parents) what they regret in their life? Isn’t it interesting that they don’t regret the mistakes they made, but rather the risks that they did NOT take.
I hereby declare that from this day forward, I choose to PLAY TO WIN!

Wicked post Tim
Playing to win is a must. If you play to not lose you do end up losing. It all goes back to the law of attraction with those words “not to lose” Remember our minds don’t process negatives. You are really saying you are focused on losing. Instead, focus on winning. Playing to win will result in a win.
I love your Playing to Win attitude.
You are awesome!
